I got together with my Oregon friends over the weekend. Can I just tell you how much I love them! I'm so lucky I had the chance to go through the law school experience. Not that I actually went through the trouble of law school, but being a "law wife" wasn't all that easy either. It got tough with John studying long hours or traveling long distances for summer internships. And don't get me started on final's time. But it was made so much easier with great friends who understood and were also going through the same pains. Not only did they make it bearable, they made it fun. And I made some lifelong friends out of the experience.
I see some of the girls every once in a while, but this was the first time in a couple of years where most of us were able to get together, husband and kid free (minus little Alice, who is an angel). We did a lot of catching up, eating, shopping and a little Idol karaoke.
I had so much fun! Although, I'm not gonna lie, the drive down and back was a little long. But when I walked in the door after getting home, I was greeted with my favorite smell in the whole wide world: bleach. John cleaned. He really must have missed me. I asked Ben if he missed me and he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head no. Oh well, can't win them all.
Thanks for the trip, girls. Let's do it again in another couple of years!

Glad to know Ben missed you like Easton missed me. Sorry for the long drive! Next time we'll meet in Nephi!
It was so fun to see you and Chelsea...damn you for living so far away!!
Ben so was cute in nursery. I asked him about you, and then realized that might make him cry--but he was good.
Sweet kid!
Can someone just write a post about how horrible your weekend together with the Oregon girls was?
That would make me feel so much better.
Ilene, we missed you! Next time I'm making everyone come to me, which will be closer to you, so you can't skip out!
I will have to totally talk to you sometime and ask you lots of questions! David is working towards his bachelors right now, and he is wanting to do law. It would be nice to know exactly what to gear up for from someone who has already done it.
Another couple of years? Try every year. It was so fun and made me miss you like crazy that you don't live by me anymore. Sorry you had the longer drive but really, do you want to hang out in Beaver?
That sounds so fun!
And, off the subject, when we were younger, Lisa Iles once said that our house always smelled like bleach. It was such a complement.
Wow... the body suit... just, wow.
I love the bodysuit picture. It is my favorite!!!
It is always fun to hang out with the girls. Looks like you had a fabulous time.
Love and hugs, Sanna
